Jay Morris

Jay was called as the Senior Pastor of First Baptist Church of Whitney on January 6, 2019. Jay has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from Criswell College and is currently in pursuit of a Masters of Divinity Degree from Southwestern Theological Seminary. He is married to Kerrie Morris. They have two daughters and two grandchildren.

Randy Hayes

Randy joined the staff in June 2014. He is married to Sheri (Ditterline) Hayes. They have a daughter, Chelsei and a granddaughter, Madison. Randy retired in 2015 from the Whitney Independent School District where he served as the director of bands. He previously served as Music Director/Worship Leader at Prairie Valley Baptist Church in Whitney. Randy was ordained into the gospel ministry in September 2014 at First Baptist Church.
 
Randy is a graduate of Odessa High School ('79) and holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas ('86).

Jason and Karminn Elmore

The Elmores have a genuine love for Jesus Christ and the Youth of Whitney. They joined the First Baptist Church Staff in June 2019.

Alice Hancock

Alice has served as church secretary since April 2014. She, her husband Mark live in Whitney. They are members of First Baptist Church in Clifton where she has served as church pianist since 2000.

Maggie Smith

Maggie was born and raised in Sikeston, Missouri. She graduated from Southeast Missouri State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an emphasis in clinical counseling. About nine years ago, she moved to Texas. She taught Special Education in the public school system for five years before moving to Whitney. Maggie is also a published author, and she has two new books coming out this year. After joining First Baptist Church, Maggie felt the call to children’s ministry. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the children in her community, and she cannot wait to see what God has in store for First Baptist Church.
